Each area has configurable scoring criteria managed by CEMPD administrators. Your school is assessed across all fourteen.

The programme workflow

From registration to certification and periodic renewal.

    School registration

    The school registers on the CEMPD Sustainable Schools portal.

  2. 2

    Orientation

    CEMPD orients the school to the framework, assessment areas and pathway.

  3. 3

    LMS courses

    Students and teachers complete the Sustainable Schools learning pathway.

  4. 4

    Baseline assessment

    The school completes a baseline self-assessment across all areas.

  5. 5

    Water Audit

    A CEMPD Water Audit is conducted for the campus.

  6. 6

    Energy Audit

    A CEMPD Energy Audit is conducted for the campus.

  7. 7

    Green Cover / Oxygen Audit

    A CEMPD Green Cover audit maps canopy and vegetation.

  8. 8

    4R / 4RRR Audit

    A 4R/4RRR waste and resource audit is conducted.

  9. 9

    Action Plan

    A time-bound sustainability action plan is agreed.

  10. 10

    Evidence submission

    The school submits photographs, documents and activity reports.

  11. 11

    CEMPD review

    CEMPD reviews the evidence and assessment findings.

  12. 12

    Assessment

    CEMPD completes the formal assessment against the framework.

    Certification decision

    CEMPD decides the certification level, if any.

    Certificate

    A CEMPD Sustainable School certificate is issued.

    Annual / periodic renewal

    The school undergoes a periodic renewal review.
